Thank for your interest in cooperating with our law office.
You are one step away from completing the form.
Since the product is manufactured in a country that is not a member of the European Union, the amount of the fee that should be paid for the notification to the Greek National Organization of Medicines is 600,00 euros + 2,4%.
Please note that an operating local business should be registered to the GNOM as responsible for the distribution of the food supplement within the borders of the country. Provided that that business doesn’t exist yet, you should proceed with its establishment as a prerequisite for the notification of the product.
Our law office has established businesses for clients specifically for the distribution (importation and selling) of dietary supplements and therefore can undertake the procedure on your behalf too. Dietary supplements may be distributed in Greece only by pharmacies and shops of sanitary interest. The establishment of that kind of businesses can be tricky, since each of them has different requirements, such as the minimum amount of investment, the minimum surface area of the premises etc. We suggest you DON’T hire an ordinary accountant for the business establishment, because it’s most likely that in the near future you’ll be forced to spend double or triple the money that you think that you have saved on a lawyer’s fees. Taking advantage of our knowledge and experience from the beginning will save you valuable time and money.
It is essential to know before the beginning of the notification procedure whether a product is produced in its country of origin as a food supplement or something else. Products that aren’t produced as food supplements is most likely not to pass the check by the competent committee of the National Organization of Medicines after their notification.
Since the product is not produced as a food supplement in its country of origin its most likely not to pass the check by the competent committee of the National Organization of Medicines after its notification.
Access to the online services of the GNOM is required for the notification of the product. The login credentials (username and password) are issued after the submission of the registration documents of the business (notifier), depending on its legal form (individual enterprise, Ltd, SA, etc.). Our office can undertake this procedure at additional cost. That service of ours can come in handy especially to businesses that are seated outside the region of Attica since the GNOM gives the login credentials in paper form by hand and therefore someone should move to the authority’s headquarters for that purpose.
